TheOtherLab x RPM - Creature's Trailer

One of the projects that I was in charge of is the trailer for Creatures which is a collaboration between TOL and Robot Playground Media (RPM) who did the animations and the final rendering of the trailer. The project started with storyboarding of the trailer, and we passed some of the assets we did for Creatures to RPM for them to set up the scene, afterwhich I went in and further adjust the scene and some of the camera angles, then to beautify all the scenes with more details and assets.

It was a fun and enjoyable project all the way from the starting conceptualizing to the final rendering as it was an enjoyable experience working alongside RPM plus I particularly enjoys modelling environment works and setting the scene.

The second scene in Cinema 4D, the foilages and the trees were all instance objects in the scene so as to keep the file size small and to help with the final rendering of the scene for the trailer.

One of the challenges in this scene is figuring out the mid and background elements, as one of the issue is the background craters not feeling gigantic in size.

All of the scene were constructed as according to the individual Creature's Background, which for this case, the Cave is according to the Duno Background.
